Completed Sociology, and will be starting with my Writing to Media chapters soon. I don't like exams. Who in the world created exams anyway? Today, I was in the lift with this man, who kept telling this other course mate and I how lucky we are to be students - carefree life, all we need to do is just study and not worry about anything else. I had a hard time refraining from scoffing. Bullshit! No Worries?!?! Geeezz Mister. Your student days must have been a blissful one. I do have other priorities, you know ...

It's been a month since the Viennese Ball Kuala Lumpur 2008. Thanks to R.AGE (The Star), I managed to participate in such a magnificent event.Am looking forward for Vienna next year... =D

Lately I have been terribly occupied with assignment datelines (last one tomorrow for my Advertising class) and FINALS NEXT WEEK!! Kill ME! haha! Totally deprived of sleep at the moment...
But I will be heading to BANGKOK on the 4th of DECEMBER!! Good times.. good times.. just for FOUR DAYS though =( Then, I'll have to rush back for Graduation Ceremony. Although I wish badly that I am graduating this year, it only stays that way... I am just going to be the emcee. sigh!

I am BACK!! After being M.I.A. for (what seemed) DINOSAUR AGES!! Oh-well ...
My Summer semester just started. Things have been INSANELY CRAZYYY .. not that I am complaining. Actually, come to think of it, I am enjoying it. All the hustle and bustle keeps my mind off certain things.
Moving on ....
I went back to IPOH on Friday for the Michaelian Military Band concert. Just one night. People could BARELY recognize me... WAHHHH! They said I changed a lot. Hope that's a good thing. Followed dad back to Selangor on Saturday (he was here over the weekend for some Aikido training). Before I left home, I got to see Mummy dearest! She came back from Singapore early in the morning. I AM HAPPY! I thought I would not be able to catch her on time ... but, she got back before I left! It's good to see the family.
Anyway, mum asked me if I wanted the new HP All-in-One Printer-Scanner .. With no hesitation, I said YES!! Woo-hoo.. You see, I have been TRYING to save up for one, but I somehow, ALWAYS end up broke before I manage to purchase one. HAHAHA! Someone should give me a job!
Since I've got my new toy, been fiddling around with the scanner.

On the other hand, my laptop can't seem to detect the printer functions. I can use the scanner, but somehow not the printer... WHOOOSSSHHH!! I am SO-NOT-A-TECH-GEEK! help?

Record-high U.S. corn prices are on a bullish path that could heighten tensions over global food inflation woes and give further ammunition to critics of using grain to make the renewable fuel ethanol.
A solution for the US to minimize dependency on Middle Eastern oil? It is surprising how much the U.S. economy affect economy worldwide. Not to mention my own country - Malaysia. It has been predicted that "Malaysia's economy would decline in the second-half of the year due to a downturn in the US economy with growth in 2008 expected to reach 5.4 %". Does this mean that we are to expect gradually increasing food prices? The increase of petrol per liter was no help to our country's budget. What I find comical was how fast news spread (about the increase of petrol price) via text message the night before, and the queue of cars aligned in various petrol stations before midnight to get their tanks fully filled. As if that would make much of a difference. The following day, and days to come, we still had to pay for the higher rate. Whole sellers took the advantage to hike up food prices during that time, and blamed it on the increase of petrol price. I hope the government manages to control food prices this time around, especially the local price of rice. I have no desire to pay MYR6 (or higher, no matter how well-known is the eatery) for a bowl of chicken rice. And do not want to witness long queues in supermarkets where consumers start stocking up on our staple food too! What a sight.

The U.S. elections started out 'fine' (when I first started reading about them in the early stages) Right now, there is so much drama (which I assume it's normal) - it has substituted my daily 'light-readings'. I guess one reason I do not keep up much with our Malaysia's government elections as compared to the U.S. elections is because of the campaigning process. It is much interesting to read about how the politicians in U.S. try to outdo each other throughout the elections. No idea why, I just find it amusing. But if you have been following Obama and Clinton's journey from day one, you might have a faint idea what I am referring to.
